Born Out of
Crisis & Compassion

Harvest of Angels was founded by Rena Martinez — a woman whose life has been defined by service, sacrifice, and an unshakable love for her community. Born in South Carolina and raised in Wichita Falls, Texas, Rena began pouring into her community from a young age, coaching children and building a legacy of giving long before Harvest of Angels had a name.

When Hurricane Katrina devastated Mississippi, Rena answered the call — moving there to rebuild homes for families free of charge. But Texas never left her heart. She returned to Wichita Falls and established Harvest of Angels, a sober living group home for men transitioning out of incarceration, giving them the structure, support, and second chance they deserve.

Mississippi · Hurricane Katrina Response

Rena moved to Mississippi to serve families devastated by Hurricane Katrina — rebuilding their homes with her own hands, free of charge, and restoring hope where disaster had taken hold.

Back Home · Wichita Falls, Texas · Today

Texas never left her heart. Rena returned to Wichita Falls and founded Harvest of Angels — a full year-long sober living program for men coming out of incarceration, built on faith, structure, and a genuine second chance.

Rena Martinez

Founder & Executive Director · Harvest of Angels

Rena Martinez was born in South Carolina, but her mother brought her to Wichita Falls, Texas at a young age — and it is here that her heart for community first took root. Long before Harvest of Angels, she was coaching children in football, basketball, cheerleading, volleyball, and soccer, giving them something meaningful to strive for.

Her love for people eventually carried her to Mississippi, where she answered the call after Hurricane Katrina devastated communities — rebuilding homes for families free of charge with her own hands. But Texas never left her heart. Rena made her way back to Wichita Falls, where she established Harvest of Angels — a place where men leaving incarceration could find structure, sobriety, faith, and a future.

A structured, safe, and substance-free group home environment in Wichita Falls, Texas — your foundation for rebuilding.

Employment Assistance

We help you secure a job and keep it. If you don't have work yet, you'll contribute through Rena's construction company while you get on your feet.

We help you get your government-issued ID, Social Security card, and birth certificate — everything you need to exist in the world.

Drug Testing

Regular drug testing keeps the home accountable and safe, supporting every resident's commitment to sobriety and a clean future.

Church & Prayer

Church attendance is required. Regular prayer groups are held to provide spiritual nourishment, community, and inner strength.

AA & NA Meetings

Transportation is provided to Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous meetings as part of your ongoing recovery program.

Whatever is needed to get you started — we provide it. No one walks through our doors and walks back out with nothing.

Everything You Need
To Start Over

No one walks through our doors empty-handed. Harvest of Angels provides every resource you need to get back on your feet and stay there.

  • ✦ A safe, structured sober living home in Wichita Falls, Texas
  • ✦ Help obtaining your ID, Social Security card, and birth certificate
  • ✦ Transportation to AA and NA meetings — we get you there
  • ✦ Church and prayer group — spiritual support built into your weekly routine
  • ✦ Initial needs provided — whatever you need to get started, we cover it
  • ✦ Employment through Rena's construction company if you don't yet have a job
  • ✦ A full 12-month program with mentorship, community, and accountability
What We Require

Your Commitment
To Yourself

We believe boundaries are not punishment — they are protection. These requirements exist to push you toward the best version of yourself.

  • ✦ Pass regular drug testing to maintain sobriety and your place in the home
  • ✦ Get a job and keep it — employment is a non-negotiable part of your restoration
  • ✦ Attend AA and NA meetings regularly
  • ✦ Church attendance is required — faith is the cornerstone of lasting transformation
  • ✦ Above all: better yourself in every area — mentally, spiritually, and professionally
$600 / Month

Monthly rent covers your housing. If you don't yet have a regular job, you will work with Rena's construction company to cover rent and your other needs — no one is left behind.
